For those of us in the US, transparency has been an issue as well in our government. Many people voted for our president based on the promise of transparency. Unfortunately they were duked again (to no surprise to many of us). Its against human nature to be completely transparent. Perhaps its because, as Calvin has said in the beginning of the Institutes, its because we're all born with the knowledge that there is some sort of god. Transparency scares us because of this knowledge. Even the "lost" must be aware of their true state before God I think. Good post.
